3Reading domain ratings after a fail
The high, moderate and low ratings track how many items you answered correctly in each domain. They are a rough signal: content difficulty differs between domains, and BPS itself advises caution with them and suggests reviewing the whole outline before another attempt (Examination Scoring).
One sensible use is to rebuild the low-rated domain first and keep the high-rated ones warm, then re-sample everything. Each domain page, from therapeutics and patient management to biostatistics, carries a case round you can score on the spot.
If you suspect a scoring error, the $50 comparative review re-checks your responses against the answer key. The request goes through MyBPS within 30 calendar days of the score report (Candidate’s Guide).
4Results, briefly
Is the on-screen result final?
It is preliminary. The score report in MyBPS, due within 45 calendar days, is the result of record (Candidate’s Guide).
When can I retake after a fail?
After a 90-day washout, you then have 90 days to schedule and sit the next attempt, up to three attempts in all (Candidate’s Guide). The full sequence is on the retake policy page.
